METAL MANIA
By JRock Review: I missed seeing this tour when it came through Florida, and now I wish I hadn't, there seemed to be a cool upclose and "raw" feel to the shows, my favorite thing was seeing the "not so slow ballads" getting done acoustic like "Uncle Toms Cabin" & "Cherry Pie" by Warrant "Seventeen" by Winger.. "Don't Treat Me Bad" by Firehouse.. just to name a few..and I thought it was strange that Alias was on here.. I guess I missed the memo on them fitting in "Metal Mania".. anyway, Anyone who loves this era of music.. will love this rare collection of songs... they all sound good, and look good.. so go pick one up... your bonus features also have lots of photo galleries from the tour.. Favorite part of the dvd: Lots of good stuff but the stand outs were Slaughter using full band to do "Fly to the Angles", Firehouse also used full band, which sounds cool w/all acoustic.. Loved Mike Tramp, he looked and sounded great. The extra features were cool.. Reb from Winger and Bill from Firehouse sitting on the bus showing each other guitar licks.. Kip sang "Seventeen" and changed it to "She's only 35" LOL... good stuff.. all in all it's a good DVD Least favorite part: I'm a huge Great White fan, but Jack just didn't sound all that "On" during this clip of "Save Your Love".. Booklet: It's a clear case explaining the tour.. and some pictures from on the road.. its ok...lol Websites: www.JaniLaneMusic.com www.Stephen-Pearcy.com www.KipWinger.com www.FireHouseMusic.com www.LAGuns.net www.MistaBone.com www.SlaughterWeb.com www.MikeTramp.com Where you can buy the dvd: Kip singing
