This month we have one of the hardest working musicians in the business,
with everything under his belt from book, tours, tons of bands, and now a solo c.d. release..

I've been a fan of Jizzy's since the Love/Hate days..
and have followed him through everything else he has done.
Now he has released a solo c.d.. AND is still lead singer for 2 bands..
Find out about his past .. present.. and future ..
Right here.

Jizzy has done it all...

J-Back in the day.. how did you hook up with the guys in Love/Hate?

Jizzy-On my site there is an extensive Love/Hate history--anyone interested in learning about the peaks and valleys of being a musician should read it and take it to heart... JIZZYPEARL.COM

J-How did everyone get along?

Jizzy-We were as close as brothers in arms, in the trenches, fighting the common enemy, poverty, sobriety and being 4 complete unknowns---

J-How important was the look back then? Do you ever look back and think "what the hell was I thinking?"

Jizzy-We experimented just like everyone. A lot of that stuff is goofy now, bad hair, make-up, garish outfits but back then you looked like everyone and everyone looked like you, uniforms in the Army of Rock. And in answer to your question I don't look back at outfits from my past, I look much better now.

J-What was your favorite release with Love/Hate?

Jizzy-Blackout in the Red Room...the best record we ever did.

J-Least favorite, or just didn't turn out like you hoped?

Jizzy-There was a Skid solo record called living off Layla which in my eyes sucked...but that's just my opinion...

J-Favorite tour? any good stories?
Jizzy-AC/DC arena tour was the favorite. We were popular in the UK so a lot of those tours were memorable...lots of good tour hi-jinks in the Love/Hate history on my site.

J-What led to the break up of the band?

Jizzy-The change in music, band members getting married and needing a more solid profession than gypsy troubadour--drug and alcohol played a part, creative differences between me and the bass player---bands break up for the same reason friends in high school do...sometimes you just run out of things in common.

J-After you left the band.. and side projects.. recordings?

Jizzy-I tried a few solo bands but I was beset by more drugs and drug addicts needing to be coddled...I threw my hands up after a while and tried to re-form L/H again but was again screwed by other people's drug weaknesses...L.A. is a haven for a lot of musicians who  think of themselves as being victimized, therefore they feel they do not get the breaks that other guys do. In reality if they weren't fucked up on heroin, speed, alcohol, coke etc. they might be able to keep a band together for longer than 2 months

J-You also write books..tell us what they are like.. and how many?

Jizzy-I have written 2 books of short stories...what are they like? hard to describe...go to my website and read my "rants' for a taste of Jizz.

J-Are you planning on writing more?

Jizzy-My third book is half written...I don't know when I will finish it.
