and had fun doing what they loved.. Let Roy take you through the ride as

just to have it be gone as quickly as it came...

First off we gotta go wayyyyy back... How did you hook up with Marc and the Cold
Sweat guys? I know Oni Logan (Lynch Mob)was the original singer, and he left the
band at the last second when they got signed... where did they find you?
R - Well I had been Touring the East Coast with my first band Gibraltar. During
one of our Florida runs I run up on a Old Friend of Oni's... Eddie Law. He said
I was perfect for his friends band, they were signed to MCA, managed by Wendy
Dio, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!! He gave me Marc Ferraris # and I thought no more of it.
I thought "yeah right" some drunk guy at the club!!! Next day before washing
those jeans I found the phone # come to find out Eddie wasn't full of shit!!!I
called it...it was Marc...I set of the audition and BAM!!! Very Rockstarish...like
the movie yah know?!? I'd never been on a plane until I flew to LA for the
audition.

Were all the songs already written or did u get to throw in your input?
R - The bulk of the songs were written. I wrote on "Long Way Down" and "Killing
Floor".

Then off to tour... what was your favorite tour?
R - The Tour with Ronnie James Dio was AWESOME!!! It was us love/hate & Dio.

Any good road stories?
R - Waaaayyyy too many!!!:)
J - What's the craziest thing a fan has ever done to meet you?
R - Drove 4 states and slept in her car in the parking lot of the venue.

How important was the look back then? And do you ever look back at old pictures
and think "What the Hell was I thinking?"
R - Well with Cold Sweat we didn't do the make up thing, but...we were wayyyy to
pretty!!!LOL ALOT OF HAIR AND TEETH!!! but yeah...there's some early shots in my
"bar band days" starting out that kill me!!! But hey...that was the look back
then. There are some early ones with me sportin' a moustache...I was like a bad
HEAVY METAL MAGNUM P.I.!!!lol

How did everyone get along in the band?
R - Fine for the most part. marc was all business....we/I were GEEKS havin' a
BLAST!!!

The day you guys released the video for "Lets Make Love Tonight" to Mtv.. was
also the day you got dropped.. how did that feel.. and what did you guys do
next?
R - WE CRIED LIKE LITTLE GIRLS!!!LOL We were so disappointed with MCA we we kinda
happy. Wendy made us feel like we'd score another deal no problem. And we
BELIEVED THAT!!! little did we know that GRUNGE was comin!!!

What led to the break up of the band?
R - Kurt Cobain

Do you still talk to the guys or know what they are up to?
R - From time to time yes. All are still involved in music in some way. One in
witness protection in Las Vegas.

Now moving forward..
What did you do after Cold Sweat, any other bands, or releases?
R - No after Cold Sweat I went to Titty Bar University were I have a Masters
Degree in DJing /Drunken Communications.
J -
Your now fronting The Fifth.. How long have you been in this band? And how did
that come about?
R - 6 years now and it's my DREAM BAND!!! It came about as therapy for me going
thru a divorce.
J -
Any releases?
R - 2 and we're working on our 3rd as we speak!!!

Touring plans?
R - We stay pretty busy touring on a regional level, but this next release we have
BIG PLANS!!!
J -
How would you describe the music to someone who hasn't heard you yet?
R - I think THE FIFTH is a perfect mix of the 80's, 90's and today!!!

Who does the writing?
R - We all do!!! very Talented guy's!!!
J -
How has the internet changed promoting bands compared to the old days?
R - Well... Myspace of course... the band web page get's 24,000 hits a month. you
can just reach more people. it allows us to stay in touch with our fans
everywhere. Being from Fayetteville that means Ft. Bragg. When a soldier hits
your page and say's he can't wait to get home and see THE FIFTH...THAT'S
PRICELESS!!!

C.C. from Poison came up and jammed at one of your shows at a resent stop in the
tour.. how was that?
R - Really COOL!!!I did a show with him in 1990 at a SuperRock Festival in
Germany...he remembered the gig and Marc Ferraris band yeah, yeah!!! LOL:) we're
doing another After show party with him August 30th at The Doghouse here in
Fayetteville. We're gonna get to do it twice!!! he was VERY COOL AND VERY
SOBER!!! PLAYED WELL!!!

Do you still get fan mail about the Cold Sweat days?
R - Yes!!! And I'm always flattered after all these years!!! A fan recently
started a Myspace page!!!
