I'm going to do a
rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a
while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will
have to get used to it..
Review: This is actually the second American Dog c.d. that I have reviewed.. and I'm becoming quiet the fan.. this one was the first release from them back in 2000.. but still great straight ahead rock n roll.. They sound like they were doing quiet a lot of partying on this album also.. most the songs are about drinking "Drank Too Much" "Drinking About You" .... "Dog's Life" is funny, lyrics about how easy a dog has it.. "he just eats sleeps and shits.." LOL.. also a very cool cover of Twisted Sisters "Under the Blade" ..Not a song I would have pictured from them.. but they pulled it off great! This definitely sounds a little rougher around the edges then the newer c.d. (or maybe drunker) But still a great c.d. for fans of pure rock/southern rock ..
Booklet: It unfolds to 3 pages.. has a great bio/story of the band.. some thanks, csong credits.. and a band picture... Not bad...
Favorite Track: Love a lot of them.. but after a couple listens I would have to pick "Bearly Half Alive" great first kickin song.. "Last of a Dying Breed" More rock.. less AC/DC style..
Least Favorite: hmm.. Well I'm big on quality..and "She had it Comin" isn't growing on me..I know it's live.. but still doesn't work for me..
