ANTHRAX
GREATER OF TWO EVILS

By Spidey

Review: Anthrax is definitely one of the original "thrash" bands, all thought they have stayed underground most of there careers.. they deserve much bigger success, but by thrashing on, they prove there love of the music, and this c.d. is a great tribute to the past history of the guys.. they took the old school Belladonna/Turbin songs, and re-recorded them with John Bush on vocals.. which proves to be new , refreshing, and interesting, all in one... old school fans will either love it or hate it, they may think the songs should have been left alone in original format, that's like Sammy Hagar going back and rerecording Van Halen's first albums.... or John Corabi doing "Too Fast For Love" .... NOT.. But at the same time.. John Bush has become the "real" singer for the band forever now, and lots of fans forget about old school and want all John... either way, it's a great album... the songs carry over to this generation very well.. so give it a spin.. you may like stuff you didn't like back in the day... I now do.

Favorite song: I always loved "Belly of the Beast" , and "Be All, End All".. also loved "Indians"

Least favorite song: Hmm.. well I wasn't into Anthrax back when they first came out, cause I was into the pretty boy bands, and still to this day, I'm not big on the "super thrashy" stuff.. otherwise all the songs are great.

Booklet: Not much to it.. a cool letter from Scott... c.d. credits, and a group picture on the back of the guys w/ a ton of fans... should have explained the c.d., since there will be new fans out there buying it not really relizing the history behind the band... but hey, what do I know...
