I'm going to do a rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will have to get used to it..

ASPHALT BALLET
S/T

By J Rock

Review: I picked this oldie but goodie cause it's one of my favorite c.d.'s from the 90's era.. this was at the end of the "glam" scene, but still before the "grunge" sound.. I think the first time I heard Asphalt Ballet was during Head Bangers Ball "Yank it or Crank it".. or something like that.. all I know is they kept winning for the song "Soul Survive".. it was beating out some great bands... They had a raw edgy sound that I was really beginning to love. I went out and got the cassette... lol.. wasn't into c.d.'s yet.. and I fell in love, Gary Jeffries voice, I was gritty, raspy, bluesy, and all together rock n roll. These guys fit in with the Dangerous Toys, Junkyard, The Scream... etc.

Favorite song: I love so many.. but stand outs are: "Hell's Kitchen" which is a great opener.. "Tuesdays Rain" love the deep, clean, sound to the vocals.. great ballad... "Blue Movie" great blusie sound.. ya know what I love them all....

Least favorite song: None of them... there is a bunch of different styles, and I love them all...

Booklet: Simple.. I never was thrilled with the cover... but the booklet has lyrics and a couple cool group pictures..

Website: none...
