I'm going to do a rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will have to get used to it..

BRITNY FOX
SPRINGHEAD MOTORSHARK

Review: When I popped in this c.d. I wasn't sure I had the right one chosen on my c.d. player.. This is nothing like the old Britny Fox.. and at first wasn't sure what to think.. I liked it, a lot, but it is totally different from anything I've ever heard them do before.. After a few listens, I found myself wanting to listen to more.. over and over.. It is full of huge vocals.. that sound very layered, which gives it a very unique sound.. tons of harmonies, and lots of catchy guitar riffs.. If your not a fan of the old "big hair" sound.. give this one a try.. or at least check out a couple songs.. this is something everyone should give a chance. I hope they stay together and release more like this in the future...  The c.d. is also enhanced, so you get 3 videos to watch on your computer.. stuff like that is always a bonus!

Booklet: Well to start off.. I hate the cover.. Just don't get it.. maybe I missed the meaning somewhere.. but oh well.. it's a nice size booklet with all the lyrics, along with a few new pictures of the guys, and some artsy pictures... along with a short bio by Michael Kelly Smith, which was short but to the point..

Favorite Song: Love the first song "Pain" nice and heavy and raw.. cool instrumental jam in "Springhead Motorshark".. love the slower acoustic stuff.. I can't get "Is It Real?" out of my head..along with "T.L.U.C. (Fr You)"..anyway, I could go on and all.. all very catchy..

Least Favorite Song: "Memorial" isn't growing on me..

Fan Reviews:

I just read your review and I have to whole-heartedly disagree.
I was a fan of the "old big hair stuff," and I felt totally jipped when I brought this home and listened to it.
My girlfriend said it sounded like Elton John, and I don't think she's that far off the mark.
If they're going to make that great a departure from their original sound, they shouldn't call it Britny Fox.
I like the first track okay, but beyond that, I pretty much hate it.
