Review: First off.. I can't believe we have a solo c.d. from Jizzy before we even have a RATT c.d. with him as the vocalist.. but that's a whole other story... I've been a fan of Jizzy's since the Love/Hate days.. "Black Out in the Red Room" is a party song me and my friends lived by every weekend.... Since then he has been non stop with writing books.. columns for www.Metal-Sludge.com , touring with Ratt, reforming Love/Hate.. touring.. and joining Adler's Appetite.. and still touring.. how he found time to release a solo c.d... I have no idea.. but kudos to Jizzy.. this c.d. kicks ass.. full of balls to the walls punkish rock songs.. to some slower ballads and trippy songs like "Never Let You Go". Fans will not be disappointed.. there is even some guest appearances by Steve Stevens, and Tracii Guns.. on guitar solos... This is a must have for rock n roll fans.............
Favorite track: "Feed Your Head" comes out with a great catchy punk feel.. also love "Everythin' Is a Sin" has a great melody to it..
Least favorite track: hmm.. I can't really say I have a least favorite.. but "Dad" isn't really grabbing me.. great lyrics, but it's just not a favorite..
Booklet: Very well done.. credits.. thanks.. and lyrics to all the songs.. not many pictures.. but thats ok.. the front cover has him on it..

Fan reviews:
Ah.... Always
a pleasure hearing "NEW" sounds from someone who's
been a "longtime" musical influence on me, my music and songwriting.
I like first and foremost that Jizzo stuck to NO blue-print of GENRE, also its
cool to see someone "wear" their heart, liver and kidneys on their sleeve
lyrically. I'm a big fan of a groovy/catchy chorus/bridge, this CD is full of
them. "Extreme" seems to be a common fave, but I'd have to say "DAD" is my
fave at this venture of listening..Jizzo sing's..."Yer just a faded
photograph..!!" then the guitar picking behind that is smoothe. Theres a lot
of lil spices thoughout the CD that you don't catch the initial several
listens. Like on "Just a Boy" the end/outro of the guitar solo sounds like
"Lucky Man" from ELP. And I think lil things like "tamborine" in the begin of
"Feed Your Head" and fillers thoughout make a "huge" difference on how a song
will sound. Ala "lil'spices"...lol "Everything is a Sin" kinda has a lil Old
ZZ Top vibe, "Do You Wanna Get High" I love the falsetto vox in the chorus, I
dig the chorus more than the verses, but thats just me. "Better Days" I think
the slide-guitar sound is what makes this song complete, and hearing Jizzo
somewhat "unplugged" is pretty cool. "Never Let You Go" I really started
diggen from the last chorus before Tracii's solo on, it seemed much heavier
from that point on to the end kinda "middle-eastern" allmost "Kings-X" type
harmonies. "Extreme" probably fave #2! I dig it begin to end..listened to it
on repeat 4 times..before I moved on, I dig the style of vox Jizzo uses on
this one, Im curious how this originally sounded? "Im On Fire" I like the
piano/keys in it, kinda old Bad Co. sounding. "Just A Boy" probably my least
fave, but it is heavy and grooves.
"Morbid Fascination" this could have been an opener too, I dig the way Jizzo
sings on this one..lil falsetto/ meets the old school punk- slower anthem
vibe, I allmost thought I heard a "Sheep" baaa in my right head-phone...JIZZO????
lol (3rd fave). "Dad" I dig the lyrics, music "ES TODO!!'"
My fave song.....!!! So all in all this CD is awesome...Some parts I dig more
than others, but dig them all I do. Great job playing, producing...etc by
ALL!!! "GO BUY THIS THING!!!!!"

I've been a fan of Jizzys since seeing him with Love/Hate at the Marquee Club in London. When he said he was releasing a solo CD is was really looking forward to hearing it but a little nervous in case I didn't like it or match up to the high expectations.
Well I can gladly say that this is one of the best CD's I've heard for ages, there is not one bad song on this CD. I am not saying this because I am biased, because its true. Personal highlights for me are Feed your head and Just a boy. Don't believe me? I set a challenge for anyone to find a bad review of this CD. So do yourself a favour and support Jizzy buy buying this CD. You will not be disappointed.
Gordie.
