LIONSHEART
ABYSS

By Ryan Lane

Review: This is one of the best new bands I've heard in a long time. Every hard rock and heavy metal influence from the 80's and 90's can be heard in their music. They sound like so many bands rolled into one, but not like any one band. They have a sound all their own. Lionsheart sounded so familiar to me, I was singing (or screaming) along from the get go. Normally I don't like keyboards in hard rock, but they used them so little, and layered them so well, I really enjoyed it. The band features Steve Grimmett, formerly of Grim Reaper and Onslaught. I have been listening to this cd non-stop since I got it, and it's not getting old at all. If you like the hard rock/heavy metal sound of the 80's and 90's, then you'll love Lionsheart.

Favorite Tracks: "Screaming"; "Nightmare"; "All I Got"; "I Need Love"...great ballad.."Don't Waste My Time"; "Witchcraft"

Least Favorite Tracks: "How Long"; "If You Cut Me"

Booklet: N/A, just a cardboard slipcase with track listings, cool cover though.
