Review: I wasn't sure what to expect from this c.d. after all Sebastian wasn't in the band.. but I was lucky enough to see the guys live before the c.d. came out, and was blown away by the new songs, and the energy Johnny gives out live. So I was now excited about getting the c.d., Then it finally comes out, and it's pushed back again, but a few reviewers had gotten a hold of copies, and everyone was bitching about this and that.. comparing everything to old Skid Row.. well in case no one noticed its not 1991 anymore, this is Skid Row chapter 2, and I think these songs are just as good.... song writing is good.. they range from heavy in "Thick is the Skin" to ballads like "Ghost" to a new punk rock version of "I Remember You Two" .. it's all good.. Johnny has a great full, raspy voice, and can hit plenty of high notes when he wants... So for you old Skid Row fans.. get over it.. give the new line-up a chance.. It doesn't suck! It may not be as heavy as "Slave to the Grind" but this is also the first c.d. with this line-up.. step back and let it grow..
Favorite Song: Love "Thick is the Skin" .. Johnny rips on that one.... "Ghost" is a great catchy ballad.. very radio friendly. "Born a Beggar" another catchy chorus, love the bass line also.. it stands out.. which is nice to hear. "See You Around" another great ballad, I don't think I have a favorite.. (what's new).
Least Favorite Song: Can't say I have a least favorite.. but if I had to pick one.. I'd say..."Down from the Underground" it's just not as catchy as the others...
Booklet: This is a cool booklet.. unfolds to 5 panels, with a picture of each member, along with lyrics for each song.. tons of thanks, and song credits, the pictures are pretty fuzzy... but at least there is pictures...

I share
your opinion of Thickskin. Since I have purchased this CD, I have played
it constantly.
If it was vinyl, it would have been worn out by now! The new band lineup
is just as good, if not better, than the old lineup.
Johnny and Phil have added a new energy to the band. I, for one,
cannot wait for their next release.
I would love to see a live album from this summer's tour with Poison and
Vince Neil.
Thank God good music like this is still being made today!
