a rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a
while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will
have to get used to it..

Review: Now this is what I call a compilation! Leave it to Metal Sludge to release one of the best collections of tunes in a long time.. All the bands have done one or more interviews on the site.. they are all Sludgeaholics.. This c.d. showcases a lot of "newer" bands, Bowling for Soup, Supersuckers, Drill 187.. along with keeping some of the classic Old School rockers like Kevin DuBrow (Quiet Riot), Tuff and Firehouse.. Even if you don't know the bands, or the songs, it all flows great, and even turned me onto a few bands I would have never listened to.. For all who have been to www.MetalSludge.com know how funny they can be about all the old hair bands.. etc. but at the same time, they are honest.. and still support many up and coming bands, along with giving a push to those "still out there trying to keep it going" bands.. I think everyone needs a little Sludge in there life.......

All Stars.. tons of skits from the Metal Skool guys.. great, funny
stuff....
Pain for Pleasure.. Great METAL song.. from the
guys in Sum41.. hope they release a full song of this stuff.. maybe teach some
of those "Nu-roc" kids what rock really is...
Lit.. this is a cool song too.. I like most
everything Ive heard by them.. fun stuff..
Bowling for Soup.. Another good song.. but getting
a bit mellow..
40 Ft. Ringo.. One of my favorite newer bands,
these guys should be huge.. and not just cause there is 2 members from Trixter...
:) If you haven't heard them yet.. GET THE CD!
Tuff.. I loved these guys back in the day.. but not
for that cheesy ballad on MTV, but cause they can kick some ass.. this song,
"Dear Jani Lane" doesn't show that, which sucks, they should have added a
rocker.. but this song fits the Sludge site perfectly.. surprised there isn't a
song about Sebastian on here.
Drill 187.. Pure kick ass song.. would love to hear
more from them... (Look me up guys!)
The Wildhearts.. These guys have very straight
ahead rock n roll sound.. but still have the crunchy.. heavy sound... great
song.. and I always love cussing in songs..
The Thornbirds.. Wow.. I thought this was Enuff
Z'Nuff at first listen.. Russ (Fight, Atomic Punks, Metal Skool) sounds a lot
like Donnie.. good catchy song..
Supersuckers.. Love how sex drugs and rock n roll
these guys are.. Good rock n roll song!
Jizzy Pearl.. I reviewed his new c.d... love it..
and love this song! One of the hardest working guys in music..
The Brightness.. Not much info around on these
guys.. mixed feelings about this one.. next.
London Calling.. Jamie Rowe is the former singer
from Guardian .. this is a great rocker, better band then I expected... another
one I'll have to check out...
Killingbird.. I reviewed these guys also.. and it
was very good.. but this song kicks ass! I've always loved Vain.. and this is a
great cover.. I guess his voice just annoyed me with the Killingbird stuff.. who
knows..
Firehouse.. Great stuff! Glad they got there balls
back, and are heavier again!
Funny Money.. I'm so disappointed with this song..
I was a HUGE Kix fan, so I was excited to hear Steve's new band.. but this lacks
everything.. it's just boring.. hope the rest of the c.d. is better.
Glory Hole U.K... With guitar player from
Buckcherry.. and Mike, drummer from Warrant (twice) this band is a neat mix of
industrial sounding vocals.. but still has catchy commercial melodies.. it will
be interesting to see what comes from these guys.. ** plus the song has
cussing..lol
Billy Morris Band.. Another Warrant member.. or ex
I should say.. (Lots of Warrant references on this cd) good straight ahead rock
n roll song...
Wednesday 13.. Don't like this one much either..
sounds like a demo.. bad production.. song is funny though, just not good enough
quality........ next.
Kevin DuBrow & Little Woman.. This sounds so old
school.. and now I see why.. it was recorded back in 1990.. ok song.. fits the
80's hay days....
Metal Sludge All Stars.. otherwise known as Metal
Skool... GREAT SONG.. sums up the music now a days...!
All in all.. this is a must have.. I promise there is something for everyone on here..
Favorite song: Love a lot of them.. but Id have to say.. "Death to All But Metal", "Inside Your Head" "Do You Wanna Get High" "Beat the Bullet" "Crash" geez.. I have a ton of favorites.. "187"
Least Favorite: "Diamonds Are A Boys Best Friend" not growing on me.. "Good Boy Gone Bad" actually hate this song! "Your Mother Sucks Cocks In Hell" not good enough production..
Booklet: Great cover.. Looks like the "Hey Now That's (Insert type of overplayed commercial crap here) Music" c.d.'s that come out every few minutes.. Includes Credits for all bands, which is good for someone looking for info.. Great job guys!
