I'm going to do a rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will have to get used to it..

STEPHEN PEARCY
SOCIAL INTERCOURSE

By D.J. Spidey

Review: This is gonna be a harder one for me, considering I'm one of Stephen's biggest fans, I've followed him through every single band he has done.. and have had mixed feelings on them all.. (have even seen him live 32 times) But when I got this one I really didn't think I was going to like it, from the downloads I heard online, It just wasn't doing anything for me.. but I was pleasantly surprised..  It's a definite rocker.. from beginning to end.. very crunchy guitars... and slamming drums. But near the end of the c.d. it starts to loose me, kinda has more of a punk flavor to it, like in songs "Rock Kandy" and which is fine, but it's just too "busy" to me... I like Stephen doing the more melodic stuff like Arcade, with the catchy lyrics...etc. I also noticed a lot of references to Ratt songs which I thought was kinda cool.. I heard at least 3-4 song titles in the songs.. So all in all this is another good release from Stephen.. but not one of my favorites.. if your into very raw.. unpolished rock-n-roll.. this one is for you.. and when you run your own record company.. you can do whatever you want.. so Kudos to Stephen..

Favorite Track: "Freak".. this has a little more melody, which I miss with Stephen's newer stuff.. He seems to be just wanting to be "HEAVY".. but of the heavy ones.. "In the Corner" has a heavy bass line that is cool.... and some great guitar work.. also like "Ya Talkin' to Me".. (this one favorite track thing isn't working......)

Least Favorite: "Rock Kandy" too punkie for me...

Booklet: Not much here, unfolds once.. and has list of songs and writing credits.. that's it... no pictures.. etc. He should have thrown at least one in here...

Fans opinions:

Hi I read your review on Social Intercourse and I pretty much agree with you...
except I'd give it 4/ 4.5 stars.
"Ya Talkin' to Me" is my Favorite Track, it just Rocks! But I actually like "Rock Candy",
I'd say the worst track is "Live or Die" or maybe "5 Fingers".
Anyway Good review, if you want, you can read my review of the album at Amazon.com under "audiodogg".
Take Care and keep up the good work with your site,
DR
