5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will have to get used to it..

THE HIDEOUS SUN DEMONS
S/T

By Spidey

Review: I just can't stop playing this c.d. I had no idea what to expect from this.. by the looks on the cover, It could have been anything from good ol' classic rock (cause of James' grizzly beard) to some Rasta music (hence the red, yellow, green in the logo..) to know knows what.. Instead it's all instrumental.. AMAZING MUSIC.. I haven't heard stuff this good since the Steve Vai solo album days.. Every instrument on here stands out in it's own light.  You hear a little of every type of music.. jazz, progressive rock, everything.. the solos are amazing.. even the drums and bass have there own rockin out moments.. I just can't say enough about this one.. I've been a fan of James' since the first time I saw him in White Lion, and then met him while on the road w/Slash's Snakepit, he has since gone on to play with the amazing Zack Wylde in Pride & Glory and has now joined him with Black Label Society... but never did I think he could play like he does on this release.. amazing how someone can play straight ahead rock n roll.. but yet JAM like all these guys do on this release. I know this was a side project while all 3 guys were in David Lee Roth together, but I hope it's something that continues to grow, and release more c.d.'s.......

Favorite Song(s): Love the opener "Elevation" .. cool groove in "the Mummy".. "Demon's Blues" great acoustic flavor added to the mix.. great riff! "S.O.C." great bass solo.... "The Maze" .. fun song, the whistling gets stuck in my head for hours.. lol

Least Favorite song(s): NONE!

Booklet: Pretty simple, couple pics, credits, thanks...
