TEMPTATION

Review: One of the
best rock bands to come out of the late 80's and early 90's. This is a hard
rock band from my home state of Indiana that got signed and put out 2 albums
before being taken over by the grunge scene. Both discs have some of the best
rock I've ever heard, but on this disc(their 2nd one), they grew musically.
Typical song subjects from this era like sex and booze, but with a style so
much different than the other bands out there at the time. Jon Huffman and
James Lee Thorpe were one of the best guitar duos. They complemented each
other so well. Thank God they didn't put in the liner notes who did each solo.
Who cares! They're both great! Steven De Long had that raspy voice that
blended well with the music. They didn't just play music. They evoked emotion.
On the song "Storm is Movin' In", you actually fell like a storm is movin in.
"Liquid Emotion" sounds liquid. Fantastic version of "Mama Told Me Not to
Come" is on here as well.
