:: Tantric :: After We Go ::

I'm going to do a rating system on where this c.d. will end up in my household..
1 Star.. Straight to Ebay.
2 Stars... It will sit on my "older" c.d. rack to collect dust.
3 Stars.... It will stay in my "listen to rack" to go through every once in a while.
4 Stars.... It will be in my computer while I'm working.
5 Stars.. It will be cranking through the house.. and car.. my girlfriend will have to get used to it..

Review: This c.d. just kicks in and doesn't let up for at least 6 tracks.. there is barely even any time in between the songs.. The first track "Chasing After" kicks ass! These guys were once part of Days of the New, which is one of my favorite bands, because of the acoustic elements they have in the songs.. not many groups can have an acoustic sound without sounding wimpy.. and instead it makes these guys sound heavier! The guitar work is fast and furious at times, and can also be slow and bluesy like in "Falling Away".. "Hey Now" is a rockin' crunchy song.. then flows into "Hero" which is the first mellow rocker... Then a cover of Fleetwood Mac "The Chain" great song.. and great job covering it.. This c.d. has all the elements it needs for a great rock album, strong vocals, amazing musicianship.. (so much going on with the instruments.. and background vocals..) and great lyrics.. if you liked the last album, this is a growth.. if your a new fan.. check them out..

Favorite song: "After We Go" love all the back ups.. also love the unique sound to "Chasing After". And "Just Once" has amazing vocal effects... "Relentless" has great guitar effects.. forget it.. I love them all...............

Least favorite song: hmmm.. "Alright" hasn't knocked me off my chair.. but I may change my mind later..

Booklet: Well made.. lyrics to all songs, and weird looking pics of the guys, you can't really see what they look like anywhere on here, which is neat.. thanks and credits inside too..

I'm a huge Tantric fan... so I love it all.... my first obsessions were
Hero and Hey Now... I love it all... it rocks hard... Matt's drums
always mesmerize me... Jesse's bass drives the heart of the songs.. and
Todd ... well just LISTEN and you'll know how talented he is. Hugo has
honed his vocal skills while still growling enough to keep me
interested...
about Alright... at the end of the song... crank it up really really
loud... and listen to Hugo... that made me love that song even more.. :)

yes I own this cd..
Each and every time I listen to this cd, it takes me to a place where I go to in my mind.
It brings me to live and makes me rock every time I have it blasting in my ears.
Tantric doesn't get all the recognition it deserves,
I believe that they deserve everything that the industry has to offer.
But then again they are unique, how many bands do we know who
will go the extra mile to meet each and every fan?
I think Tantric will always be this way, popular or not! My favorite song,
well I know I can say it's the entire album. I don't have one particular song that
I can say I like and if I have to IT would be Just Once. I love the vocals on this song,
I love the melody of the song. Hugo, Todd, Jesse and Matt blend well together...
never change guys...you definitely rock....
oh and give a couple of hoot hoots out for Kev and Andy too!
